Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner Vs Jemma Kidd define eyeliner review

Elle magazine is currently giving away Jemma Kidd's make up school, i-glamour, define eyeliner. On her website the eyeliner is described as "velvety soft, stay put, maximum impact and no dragging". Sounds very similar, I thought, to my loyal Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil. Which they in turn describe as "creamy and forever lasting". So let the battle begin!!!

On top is UD and below is JK

Overall, I personally feel that UD is on top, it's much softer and has better pigment. JK is a little on the waxy and hard side, which is great for longevity but after a test of a rigorous rub of the finger, UD fairs just as well (both in fact were brilliant, didn't smudge just faded slightly). Also because of the waxiness of JK, it does drag and when layering the product because it's not as dark as it could be, small bits roll off.

Jemma Kidd's eyeliner retails for £15 but as mentioned before it comes free right now with Elle (£3.95?). Urban Decay retails at £13 in House of Fraser and Debenhams.

Jemma Kidd's eyeliner is also made in China whereas Urban Decay is made in Germany. Personally I always like my beauty products to be from European countries like France, Germany or Italy and of course GB and the USA. Products made in China are not necessarily bad, they may use the same ingrediants, procedure etc but the manufacturing costs is lower, which is why, I wouldn't consider buying Jemma Kidd's eyeliner as the £15 price (as well as the performance of the product) is unjustified.
