Glossybox April 2013 - Pearl Lowe

Like nearly everyone else, I've been waiting for my monthly prize draw for absolutely ages. I've Googled since the first of this month to seek spoilers and I was quite happy with the contents of other peoples.

So seeing as everyone and their aunt knows what's inside, lets keep this post brief. Here's what I got in the Glossybox lottery...

The beautiful box is definitely a keeper.

NIP + FAB Mango smoothie body butter: I was quite keen to try this product for a while. I thought it would be perfect for my hand bag to use as a hand cream. Ideally I would have liked pistachio but I know both scents are rather sweet and fake for my taste anyway, so all in all, it's ok.

Richard Ward Couture hair optimiser style reviver: I'm guessing this is a kind of volume spray for styling. Too be honest, I'm not going to use this product because my scalp is pretty sensitive. What also gets on my goat, is that Richard Ward is heavily featured in many other sample beauty boxes. I didn't want it in them and I don't want it in this one. 

Balance me Radiant face mask: AGAIN! Balance me is a free sample everywhere, with magazines and beauty boxes. Even though this is the first time I received a Balance me product from Glossybox, I simply hate that they keep featuring this brand. YAWN! However the mask will hopefully come to good use one day.

Essie nail polish in geranium: I prayed for a nail polish to be in my box and voila, thank you Jesus! I thought Glossybox was going to give everyone the same colour, 'sugar daddy' to be exact, so everyone doesn't get too disappointed about others receiving more wearable colours. I would have liked the cleary pink shade but I love a good coral. So thumbs up.

Yves Rocher Nutritive vegetal cream: A small sample of what promises to be an ultra moisturising cream, free from parabens and colour. I'm keen to give this one ago, lets hope it's as good as the Docteur Renaud.

Overall, I'm not too excited by this box but it could have been a lot worst. The sample sizes are decent - no vials of perfume here! I also feel the mix of products is quite good, the one thing that I find annoying is that the brands aren't exciting at all. I'm sorry to any ladies who got a Lipcote, that definitely deserves an angry post of their FB page!
